Water Lilies and Nine Patch by Ann Fahl
A nine patch block in tones of blue, is turned on point to become the background for this quilt. One large water lily, a smaller one, and a bud are heavily machine embroidered to create lots of realistic detail. The entire piece is set inside an imported sunprinted fabric in dark blue and green.
The machine quilting echos the detail in the fabric and the embroidery. The edges are bound with and blue and green subtle stripe.
