Four Water Lilies by Ann Fahl
Making this quilt was something I had been wanting to try for a long time. Watery blue fabric snippets are fused over a black background. Four stylized water lily shapes are fused and embroidered over the surface. This creates an interesting visual and textural piece. The bottom edge undulates to carry out the water theme. The border is black and is machine quilted in a small scalloped design. Now in a private collection
