Fractured Water Lilies II by Ann Fahl
This quilt includes digital images made from a heavily embroidered water lily (from Three Water Lilies.) I printed them on fabric, cut them up, fused them onto the background, added iridescent seed beads and heavy machine quilting. If you look closely at the quilt itself, you can see all the little machine stitches on the original water lily that I scanned! The quilt is bordered with a hand dyed fabric by Robbi Joy Eklow and bound in a blue, turquoise and purple commercial print. In a private collection.
