On the Water by Ann Fahl
A dramatic neon colored water lily is floating on the water. The flower is heavily machine embroidered on a hand dyed fabric by Sylvia Whitesides, IN. The impression of water is created by using slivers of fabric on the background, creating the impression of ripples on the surface. Iridescent bugle beads are placed in the lower "water" area for extra sparkle. Machine Quilted
