Portrait of a Quilter's Helper by Ann Fahl
A photo of Oreo the cat, was printed on fabric, to create the centerpiece of this quilt. The picture was taken after she plunked herself down, while I was trying to embroider the quilt. I framed the picture with green and black, then machine appliqued large coneflowers with polka dot centers around her. The flowers are similar to the coneflowers that are on the quilt in the photo!
Photo on fabric, machine applique, free-motion embroidery on the paw prints and heavily machine quilted.
