Behind The Christmas Tree by Ann Fahl
This quilt provides a humorous view of a feline Christmas. If we had a tree for the holidays, Oreo would be under, in and ontop of the tree! In this quilt she is investigating something behind it. She is quite the hunter, could it be a mouse?
The tree in this quilt is based on Ann's Ginkgo Christmas Tree pattern. The cat is machine embroidered with a heavy acrylic and wool thread in a zigzag stitch: coneflower and toy are machine embroidered with polyester or rayon decorative thread. The sky behind the tree is quilted in a small star and loop pattern, the remainder of the quilt is moderately quilted in a variety of patterns.
