Here sits Oreo, looking out the window at the moon. It’s night, she likes to give all the bugs and critters outside, one last look before heading off to sleep.

This quilt is Ann’s only quilt with a night time theme. The figure of the cat is machine appliquéd over a cotton background, with layers of tulle in white for the moonlight, and black for the shadows. Some iridescent bugle beads are scattered to add sparkle in the moonlight.

The quilt is moderately quilted in an all over wavy pattern. The body of the cat is covered with a little floral design much like that of Tea Party, an earlier quilt. The binding is cut from the hand dyed fabric that surrounds the window.
