This is a colorful garden of white coneflowers and golden black-eyed susans. All are set on a patchwork of red squares. The oversized flowers, centers and leaves are heavily machine embroidered. The quilting is heavy in a meandering pattern, with feathers twisting around the plants in the body of the quilt. Outside the fused border, the quilting is stitched in a repeated scallop pattern. Red iridescent bugle beads are scattered about the base of the plants. The edges are bound with a blue, green, yellow and red uneven stripe. First Place Winner at the AQS show in Paducah, 2004; AQS Wall Calendar and Book Catalog. In a private collection.
