Silhouettes by Ann Fahl
This quilt was made to be a featured quilt for a solo exhibit at the New Visions Gallery in Marshfield, WI; and was inspired by a work by artist Nancy Coffelt.
Four hand dyed triangles create the background for the silhouettes of swans, lilies and pads. Each of the subjects in heavily embroidered and quilted using variegated threads. This creates a realistic texture and visual interest to the surface of work.
